Our Origin | What does 22 Love mean?
Hi, I’m Carrie Accardi, when I was 5 or 6 years old I remember seeing a crosstitch on the wall in my parents room and asked my mom what it meant. She shared it was to commemorate her marriage to my dad on July 22nd. She also shared at that time that my grandparents had been married July 22nd as well and it instantly became my childhood lucky number.
It always gave me pause as I marveled at how often it showed up in my life. In all my favorite places and my love for 22 grew more. At the same young age I developed a love of rainbows and had one painted on my ceiling.
It was always a symbol of joy and hope and faith to me. Between the two symbols I have felt led to love. When my kids were very young I was attempting to help them grow gratitude. I believed gratitude would grow more gratitude. I was presented with divine inspiration to use my lucky number 22 to grow gratitude with them and suggested that we find something, anything to be grateful for anytime we saw the number 22.
It worked better than I could have imagined for them but especially for me and I have watched it grow inside my myself, my children and their friends and their parents as this idea is watered and grown.
Seeing the number today 22 is like a red light reminding me to stop and apply love, service and gratitude to a good or bad situation so that I can grow from it.

Why a Non-Profit?
My struggles in life have spanned topics of childhood trauma, divorce, adhd, mental health, body image, dementia/elderly care and family addiction to share a few. We are all given hardships to carry; I decided at a young age that I needed to help others carry theirs in addition to mine.
Helping others somehow made what I was carrying lighter. While my dad modeled generosity my mom modeled volunteerism and service. I learned that through acts of kindness and altruism we humans connect and make a difference.
This life practice has fostered many relationships with what has grown to be known by me as my beautiful badass warrior tribe of women. We provide each other guidance both informal and professional. Peer mentoring through counsel and support. As I grew as a mom, a business woman, a mentor, a friend, a daughter, a volunteer I realized that for love and gratitude to grow, it needs to be watered.
22LOVE helps me grow my relationships through love, gratitude and service.
22 LOVE is a community for cultivating love and gratitude for women by women with a desire to help all. We can empower women in all life’s endeavors because their success is essential to the social development of family and community. With small acts of kindness we can grow gratitude, elevate our connection with each other and GROW LOVE! Let’s help each other and help ourselves at the same time.
